Aristotle Space & Aeronautics Team (ASAT)

The Aristotle Space & Aeronautics Team (ASAT) was founded in November 2015 as the first university student aerospace team in Thessaloniki.

This initiative was undertaken by a group of 12 ambitious university students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), with the goal of contributing to the dissemination of aerospace engineering within the Greek academic community, as well as to the broader public.

Aerospace Research Engineering (ASPIRE)

The ASPiRE (Aerospace Research Engineering) team was founded in October 2017 by a group of university students from the University of Western Macedonia. Shared interests in aerospace applications, along with a desire to explore and learn new and diverse fields, were the main reasons behind its creation.

It now represents the official aerospace research team of the University, drawing new members from three of the University’s Polytechnic departments: the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Chemical Engineering, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Beyond Orbit

Beyond Orbit is a non-profit organization empowering young engineers and scientists to design, build, and innovate through real-world aerospace projects.

Beyond Earth Aristotle Missions (BEAM)

BEAM (Beyond Earth Aristotle Missions) is a student group, active in the field of space and space research, housed in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The idea for the creation of the group came in April of 2018 from students of the University. BEAM is comprised of students from any school of the University with the time and desire to pursue a career in the sector and to apply and expand their knowledge on a theoretical and practical level.

Although relatively new in the field of space, BEAM is already the first Greek student team to be selected for the REXUS/BEXUS programme. What’s more, the team managed to secure a position in the programme for three years in a row. The REXUS/BEXUS programme is realised under a bilateral Agency Agreement between the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Swedish National Space Agency (SNSA). The REXUS/BEXUS programme is further realised with the help of ESA, ZARM, Eurolaunch, MORABA and SSC.

DeltaV Dynamics

DeltaV Dynamics is the first rocket team of the University of Athens, composed of university students from the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology.

Its goal is to provide practical and experimental experience to every student who wishes to contribute, thus broadening their horizons beyond theoretical limits.

EUROAVIA Athens

EUROAVIA is the European Association of Aerospace Students, founded in 1959. It currently has over 43 branches in 17 countries across Europe, with at least 2,000 members.

It is a non-political, non-profit association entirely made up of students who have an interest in aerospace and engineering in general.

EUROAVIA Athens was founded in 2006 and is the branch of the association based in Athens. It is supported by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the team is primarily composed of students from the School of Mechanical Engineering. Naturally, due to the breadth of its fields of involvement, it is also connected to other Polytechnic schools, as well as schools of Economics.

EUROAVIA Patras

EUROAVIA is the largest association of aerospace students in Europe, with the goal of bringing together students of aerospace and engineering in general, helping them advance in their field. EUROAVIA Patras is the local branch of EUROAVIA in Patras.

Founded in 2001, it has over 100 active members. Its main purpose is to bridge the gap between industry and academia, while offering opportunities for professional development and networking, allowing its members to grow into the best version of themselves.

SpaceDot

SpaceDot is a non-profit, volunteer-based, and interdisciplinary student team, supported by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). It was founded in December 2020 and consists of over 40 students from AUTH and other university communities in Greece and Europe.

Its goal is to pave the way for innovative research in space applications.

White Noise

White Noise is an aerospace engineering team established in 2017 by students of the National Technical University of Athens. Our primary objective is to advance the field of rocketry in Greece while promoting a deep passion for aerospace innovation.
