Anastasios (Tassos) Panagiotopoulos graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and then specialized in the field of Space Systems at the University School of Aerospace Engineering ISAE-SUPAERO of Toulouse (France), from where he obtained his Master’s Degree.
He worked at the Hellenic Space Center (HSC), at the Observatory of Midi-Pyrénées in Toulouse and for a short period at the French Space Agency (CNES), on areas such as, mainly, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Satellite Remote Sensing and Orbital Mechanics.
Moreover, he recently obtained his Master’s Degree in STEM Education from the International Hellenic University. He has participated in educational activities to disseminate knowledge regarding space technology and applications and is also involved in amateur astronomy.
Today, he works as an external scientific associate of the Hellenic Space Center in the field of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
