MSc Eleni Sofikiti obtained her Diploma (Integrated Master) of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering and her Postgraduate Master’s Diploma in ‘Geoinformatics’ from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Since 2021, she has been collaborating with the Remote Sensing Laboratory of NTUA focusing on automated processing workflows for satellite data and the implementation of machine learning-based classification and regression models. Additionally, she has contributed to the generation of validation datasets and the execution of accuracy assessment methodologies for national land cover and crop-type products. Her research interests include Land Use/Land Cover and Crop type Mapping, Vegetation Mapping, Land Degradation Monitoring, Soil Mapping and Soil Moisture Estimation.
