Presentation of the H.S.C. Scientific Personnel in an AUTH lecture

On Friday, January 20th, 2023, members of the Scientific Personnel of the Hellenic Space Center presented Space Engineering topics to students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, upon invitation by Professor Mr. Alkiviadis Hatzopoulos, as part of the “Systems Reliability” course.

ESA’s Cube Sat Summer School 2022

ESA Education Office’s latest initiative, the “CubeSat Summer School 2022”, will take place over four weeks from 8 August to 2 September 2022 at ESEC-Galaxia, Belgium. It will deliver an extensive mix of lectures and hands-on activities. The entire project lifecycle of a satellite mission will be covered, from design to verification, launch and operations. Upon completing the Summer School, participants will have gained the multidisciplinary knowledge and skills needed to undertake space-related projects, and will be better prepared to join the European space sector.

Heliophysics 2050 Workshop

The “Heliophysics 2050 Workshop” will be held virtually on February 23-25, 2022. This year’s topic is “Measurement Techniques and Technologies”. The objective of this Workshop is to facilitate a community discussion to determine what technological advancements are needed to enable transformative advancements in Heliophysics. The Workshop will be a forum to organize and solicit community inputs that will inform the upcoming 2024 NASA Solar and Space Physics Decadal Survey.

Internships at the ESA European Astronaut Centre in Porz-Wahn, Germany

Spaceship EAC is an initiative, based at the European Astronaut Center in Germany, helping ESA and researchers prepare for the future of space exploration. The Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes (ExPeRT) of Spaceship EAC has announced internship opportunities, for students in their final years of a University course at master’s level.

Announcement of Opportunity: 1st Winter Course on GeoInformation and Space Data management

As a first step to implement the recommendations of the International Space Forum (ISF), held in Reggio Calabria on 5/9/2019, the Italian Space Agency and the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, in collaboration with the e-GEOS Company and the support of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), are organizing the 1st Winter Course on GeoInformation and Space Data management for the Sustainable Development and Needs of the Mediterranean Region.

Deadline for applications: Sept. 28, 2021

Financial support: Offered for up to 25 selected participants.

Application procedure: Any interested Government/University/Research Institutions of the Mediterranean Countries will have to submit the CV and requested attachments of their selected candidate exclusively to the ASI Office and e-mail address indicated in the Announcement of Opportunity.
