ESA’s Young Graduate Trainee (YGT) Programme offers young graduates the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience in the development and operation of space missions in an international and multicultural environment. ESA has proclaimed a Young Graduate Opportunity in the Directorate of Science, on Information Systems Development for Future Data Analysis. The goal of this project is to develop an information system that provides researchers with the information required to fully exploit the upcoming data sets of the BepiColombo and JUICE missions. The Summer School Alpbach – An in-depth learning experience, on space science and engineering

New Year’s cake cutting ceremony at the H.S.C.

On Friday, February 10th, a ceremony was held at the premises of the Hellenic Space Center, for the traditional Vasilopita cake cutting by the H.S.C. President, Ioannis Daglis, with the presence of Academician Dr. Stamatios Krimigis. The Administrative and Scientific Personnel of the Center attended the ceremony, along with the C.E.O., N. Sergis, the Vice President, G. Nounesis, and the Governing Board Μembers, P. Sotiriadis, C. Synolakis and K. Karantzalos.

The H.S.C. at the 18th Ilan Ramon International Space Conference

During the 18th Ilan Ramon International Space Conference in Tel Aviv, the President and the CEO of the Hellenic Space Center met the Chairman and the Director of the Israel Space Agency (ISA), Prof. Dan Blumberg and Mr. Uri Oron respectively. The meeting addressed matters of mutual interest and investigated possibilities of cooperation between the two agencies. The Ambassador of Greece in Israel, Mr. Kyriakos Loukakis, as well as Mr. Nikolaos Christodoulidis and Mr. Vasilios Liveris, Economic and Commercial Office of the Greek Embassy, also participated in the meeting.
