Heliophysics 2050 Workshop

The “Heliophysics 2050 Workshop” will be held virtually on February 23-25, 2022. This year’s topic is “Measurement Techniques and Technologies”. The objective of this Workshop is to facilitate a community discussion to determine what technological advancements are needed to enable transformative advancements in Heliophysics. The Workshop will be a forum to organize and solicit community inputs that will inform the upcoming 2024 NASA Solar and Space Physics Decadal Survey.

Music concert and public talks under the auspices of the H.S.C.

The SafeSpace Scientific Research Programme organized a musical event titled “Detecting and feeling the sounds of space”, on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 21:00. The event was hosted at the Theoharakis Foundation, under the auspices of the Hellenic Space Center, and it premiered the works called “Electron Emissions” and “Radiation Belts”, of award-winning composer Lina Tonia, played by violins and cello. The President of the H.S.C., Prof. Ioannis Daglis, and composer Lina Tonia opened the event giving talks about the sounds of space and the musical compositions that were presented.
