The Symposium on Space Educational Activities (SSEA), organised by the European Space Agency’s Education Office, provides a forum for university students, professionals working in education, and other young professionals to present and discuss their experiences organising, running and/or participating in Educational Activities related to Space. The 4th SSEA is to be held on April 2022 in Barcelona, Spain, and the local organisation team is led by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech. There are also different scholarships available for students.

Announcement of Opportunity: 1st Winter Course on GeoInformation and Space Data management

As a first step to implement the recommendations of the International Space Forum (ISF), held in Reggio Calabria on 5/9/2019, the Italian Space Agency and the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, in collaboration with the e-GEOS Company and the support of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), are organizing the 1st Winter Course on GeoInformation and Space Data management for the Sustainable Development and Needs of the Mediterranean Region.

Deadline for applications: Sept. 28, 2021

Financial support: Offered for up to 25 selected participants.

Application procedure: Any interested Government/University/Research Institutions of the Mediterranean Countries will have to submit the CV and requested attachments of their selected candidate exclusively to the ASI Office and e-mail address indicated in the Announcement of Opportunity.

Διαδικασία υποβολής: Ενδιαφερόμενα Δημόσια/Πανεπιστημιακά/Ερευνητικά Ιδρύματα από Μεσογειακές χώρες θα πρέπει να υποβάλουν το βιογραφικό καθώς και τα απαιτούμενα δικαιολογητικά ενός επιλεγμένου υποψηφίου τους αποκλειστικά στον Ιταλικό Διαστημικό Οργανισμό, στη διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου που αναφέρεται στην Προκήρυξη.

The President of H.S.C. at the “Education Revolution Conference” of the 85th TIF

Τhe President of H.S.C, Prof. Ioannis A. Daglis, on Wednesday, September 15, participated in a Panel Discussion titled “Technology and Innovation in Education”, a part of the “Education Revolution Conference”. This one-day event was organized during the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair, by the U.S. Mission in Greece, in partnership with Socialinnov and the Ministry of Digital Governance, and was hosted at Section “Digital Greece” (Pavilion 12).
